To take it to the head of its class the new CR250R has a powerful all-new case-reed engine with a re-designed air intake tract and a newly developed, motor-driven RC exhaust valve that significantly improves low-end and over-rev power delivery while maintaining the CR250R\'s renowned high-rpm performance.
The all new lightweight, aluminum twin-spar frame and swingarm has also been specially designed for lighter, more responsive handling and more assured control over the rough and tumble of the world\'s toughest motocross courses.

Dual radiators permit forward engine placement and provide significant cooling capacity. Steel water pump gear also gives excellent reliability.
Air intake boot is re-shaped and boot volume is increased 65cc to provide 7% stepping up of airflow capacity contributing to improved performance in the mid and upper rpm ranges.
Lightweight 38mm flat-slide Mikuni TM-x carburetor provides both initial and instant throttle response to complement the power of the all-new liquid-cooled two-stroke single-cylinder engine.
